A Volunteer Coordination position is available at Over-the-Rhine Community Housing (OTRCH). The position is an AmeriCorpsVISTA position which is a 1-year commitment includes a living monthly stipend and a $4725 grant towards your education at the end of the service year. OTRCH will provide subsidized housing as well.
The ROLE of the Volunteer Coordinator staff person is responsible for carrying out the mission of the organization by recruiting, organizing, and managing volunteers for Over-the-Rhine Community Housing.
This position reports to the Director of Operations and works collaboratively with all staff to further the goals of Over-the-Rhine Community Housing.
We are looking for an energetic, engaging individual who has the ability to work independently, as well as with low-income residents, volunteers, public officials, funders and professionals. The position involves scheduling, planning, and implementing weekday and weekend volunteer activities with the Maintenance manager. This is a great opportunity to develop new skills and get work experience in an environment that is challenging but rewarding!
